FAQs

  1. How much does concrete cost?
Depending on location, size, time involved, accessibility, and the type of finish (stamped, aggregate, broomed, etc). Call for a free estimate.

  2. How do you keep concrete from cracking?
There is no way to guarantee concrete from cracking. Steel reinforcement, wire mesh, sub grade, and compaction (recommended on fresh dirt disturbance) will help the concrete from spreading.

  3. How long before I can drive on my new driveway?
Depending on the size of your vehicle, smaller compact cars can drive on a new driveway approximately one week after installation. Concrete takes 28 days to cure. For full-size pickups, RVs, etc., recommended time is two weeks. For the first 28 days, you want to be careful on driving on corners or edges for manicure reasons.

  4. Is concrete installation messy?
Yes, depending on finish.  However, Décor Concrete takes all effective measures to protect your home and yard as much as possible. To protect your siding or paint, we will hang plastic to protect from color or concrete.

  5. Do weather, rain, or cold affect installation of concrete?
Rain can affect installation depending on finish. Décor always has plastic on hand to cover in the event of a rain shower. Concrete Thermal Blankets are used to cover new installations in low temperatures (freezing) to save concrete from shattering. If Décor Concrete feels the weather will affect the quality of your project, we wait on the weather.

  6. Do I have to have cuts in my concrete?
It depends on the size, shape, and finish. The cuts are used to help control cracking.
